Total Solar Eclipse of 2008 – 1

The total solar eclipse of August 1, 2008 was videotaped from Jinta, China under perfect weather conditions. I used a Sony hi-8 camcorder (HD was still to expensive in 2008) with a 2x teleconverter to magnify the Sun’s image. I think the audio track of this video captures the excitement in our voices. Consider this an appetizer for the 2017 total solar eclipse through the USA (http://www.eclipsewise.com/solar/SEnews/TSE2017/TSE2017.html), especially if you’ve never seen a total eclipse of the Sun.
