Pip Stewart – Showreel
Pip is an adventurer, writer, TV presenter and public speaker. A self-proclaimed hippy at heart, with a passion for meditation, health and wellbeing, Pip is a firm believer that connecting with people and the great outdoors is good for the soul. Pip studied History & Politics at Oxford University and subsequently lived and worked in Asia for five years as an anchor and reporter in Hong Kong and Malaysia, producing travel multimedia stories for the Telegraph, BBC, CNN and South China Morning Post, amongst others.
Pip’s journey back to Britain in 2013, to take up the role of Adventure Editor at Red Bull Online, was an epic year-long 10,000 mile biking trek, starting in Kuala Lumpur and taking in 26 countries.
In 2016, Pip’s passion for travel took her on a 3000 mile cycle, boat and small plane journey exploring Brazil and Peru and raising awareness of the environmental issues in the region. From the mouth of the Amazon River in the Atlantic, finishing in Lima at the Pacific, Pip investigated the deforestation of the Amazon rainforest and its devastating effect on the local indigenous communities. This resulted in an accompanying six-part TV series ‘Transamazonica’ with fellow adventurer Reza Pakravan.
More recently, Pip’s passion for exploration took her on an epic expedition, kayaking the entire length of the Essequibo River in Guyana, as part of an all female team, which took three months to complete. Starting their journey in the interior of Guyana at the true source of the river, the team paddled for 1,014km until they reached the Atlantic Ocean. Their journey saw them traverse the Acarai Mountains, Wai Wai land, untouched virgin rainforest, unexpected rapids and contentious gold mining areas until finally arriving at their ultimate destination on the coast, achieving a world first. She is currently writing her first book.
